Within PreSkale, How to Deactivate a User ? How to Transfer the user's records?

PreSkale Admins can initiate a transfer of user records from an existing owner and re-assign it to a new owner. This feature is particularly useful when a presales owner is moving out of the existing role or of the firm.

Note:
  • Deleting a user within PreSkale is permanent. Hence, if you'd like to retain any data, please deactivate the user and transfer all the records before deleting an user.
  • Deactivating a user within PreSkale is not permanent. Any user marked as deactivated can be converted into an active user at any point in time.
  • Once the records are transferred to a different user, the transfer is permanent and can't be reversed.

The following deal activity of the presales owner will be updated to the new owner's name,

  • Deal's Presales owner/Sales Engineer
  • Solution use-case owner
  • Product Gap use-case owner
  • Product Gaps Creator
  • Task Owner
  • Notes Owner
  • Collaborator
  • Template Activity
  • Custom Field Activity

Note:

Since associated meetings are user specific, tagged meetings will not be transffered to the new owner.

To transfer records,

  1. Go to  Admin settings > Users > Select Deactivate User of the required user from the list.

  2. If you'd like to retain the data under the same user name, Select Same User (Don't transfer to anybody) option within the list. If you wish to move the records to a different user, Select their Name from the dropdown to move records successfully.

    Note:
    • Transfer of records is an PreSkale Admin-only feature.
    • The transfer of records is not instantaneous and the time taken for the record transfer is subjective to the number of records owned by the user.
